Sarah Purvey is a UK-based ceramic artist known for monumental, sculptural vessels that blur the boundaries between drawing and three-dimensional form. She completed her MA in ceramics at Bath Spa University in 2009 and continues to work from her studio in Wiltshire, where she also serves as Artist-in-Residence at the Corsham Court Campus. Her dynamic, instinct-led practice has been shown widely in solo and group exhibitions across the UK and internationally, including in St Ives, Amsterdam, London and New York. Purvey’s work has featured in prestigious showcases such as the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Threadneedle Prize Exhibition, and Collect at Somerset House.

Her ceramics are held in public and institutional collections, notably Pallant House Gallery, Chippenham Museum & Art Gallery, Swindon Museum & Art Gallery, and the Bath Spa University Art Collection. In addition to museum holdings, her work is represented in private collections internationally, including in the USA, Japan and Europe.
