Born in Margate in 1960, he studied at the Canterbury College of Art before graduating in Fine Art from the West Surrey College of Art and Design in 1981. A widely travelled artist, he is celebrated for his Kenyan subjects as well as landscapes painted across Cyprus, Italy, Spain, and France.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eGregory Alexander RWS has exhibited extensively in London, received a prestigious Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation bursary in 1984, and became a full member of the Royal Watercolour Society (RWS) in 1987. He has shown at the Royal Academy (1982, 83 \u0026amp; 85), held multiple solo exhibitions at the Catto Gallery, and even co-authored a respected book on watercolour painting with his brother Matthew.
